Polyurea is a next-generation coating chemistry that's significantly more flexible, impact-resistant, and UV-stable than traditional epoxy. It cures faster, holds up to hot-tire pickup that destroys epoxy, and doesn't yellow in sunlight. The ArmorCore™ system uses commercial-grade polyurea and polyaspartic materials — not the consumer-grade products most contractors apply.

Most residential installations — including garages, basements, patios, and pool decks — are completed in a single day. The ArmorCore™ system cures fast, allowing light foot traffic within hours and return to full use within 24 hours. Larger commercial or industrial projects may span multiple days depending on scope.

It depends on the type and severity of the crack. Hairline and cosmetic surface cracks can typically be filled and coated over with excellent results. Deep structural cracks, active movement cracks, or widespread deterioration usually indicate the slab needs replacement rather than coating. We evaluate this specifically at the free estimate and give you an honest assessment of which approach makes sense.

The two most common causes of coating failure are inadequate surface prep and moisture vapor pressure underneath the slab. If the concrete surface isn't properly ground and profiled before coating, adhesion never happens at a molecular level — it's just sitting on top. If moisture vapor is pushing up through the slab, it breaks the bond from below. ArmorCore™ addresses both: mechanical diamond grinding for prep and a moisture primer or MVB barrier for vapor — depending on which system is specified for the slab.
