A cracked garage floor, a faded patio and a heaved driveway can look like the same problem. They are not. Some concrete just needs protection. Some needs a new surface. Some has reached the end of its life.
Most contractors have one answer for every problem: whatever they sell. A coating company recommends a coating. A concrete company recommends a pour. Outback does all three, so we have no reason to steer you toward the wrong one.
Every project starts with a free assessment of your actual concrete: its structural condition, cracking pattern, subbase and drainage. The recommendation follows what we find, not the margin. Sometimes that means telling you the cheaper option won’t hold, and sometimes it means telling you that you don’t need to tear anything out.
Our Services
Every project starts with the same goal: a floor that looks great and holds up. Whether that means coating what you have, upgrading to a rubberized finish, or starting over with fresh concrete, it's all part of the Outback process.

If your slab is structurally sound but stained, worn, dusty or showing its age, you don’t need new concrete. You need a surface built to protect it. The Armor Core System™ is a multi-layer, industrial-grade floor coating that protects the concrete underneath and extends its life.

When outdoor concrete has more wear or visible cracking than a thin coating can cover, but the slab underneath is still solid, resurfacing bridges the gap. Our rubber coating is a polymer resin blended with rubber granules, troweled directly over your existing slab into one seamless, flexible surface.
When the concrete is cracked, weathered, or failing at the surface but still structurally sound underneath, poured rubber surfacing gives you a completely new surface — over the existing concrete, in a single day, with no tear-out. Flexible, seamless, slip-resistant, and built for outdoor conditions.

Some concrete is structurally compromised, heaved beyond leveling, or deteriorated past the point where any surface will stick. Coating it would only put a nice finish on a failing slab. Replacement gives you a clean, properly built foundation, and it pairs with either finish above.
When the slab itself is the problem — heaving, crumbling, severely cracked through its full depth, or simply poured too thin to hold — no coating or resurfacing will fix it. The concrete needs to go. ArmorSlab™ replacement pours it back thicker, reinforced, and built above the minimum standard from the first pour.

Walk your concrete and look for these signs. Your free assessment will confirm it either way.
Probably a coating if you see:
Probably resurfacing if you see:
Probably replacement if you see:
Not sure? That’s exactly what the assessment is for. We’ll tell you what your concrete actually needs, even when it’s the smaller job.The best of both: replace, then finish
For a slab that’s past saving, the highest-quality result is new concrete poured correctly, cured properly, then finished with The Armor Core System™ or rubber coating. We coordinate both as one project with one company, one schedule and one point of contact.
Garage to pool deck, basement to warehouse: the same disciplined prep and five-layer build, sized to your surface.

Road salt, oil drips, and freeze-thaw cycles: handled. The most popular Armor Core install.

Staining, fading, minor surface cracks, old paint, or just ugly bare concrete with no structural issues — the slab underneath is doing its job.
Indiana winters have done their work — surface cracking, worn finish, needs better traction — but the slab itself is flat and not moving. Pool deck, patio, walkway, porch.
Sections are lifting, cracking all the way through, actively crumbling, or patches keep failing. No coating or resurfacing will hold if the structure beneath it is moving.
This is exactly what the free estimate is for. We walk the concrete with you, assess the actual condition, and tell you which solution makes sense — and which one doesn't. We do coatings, rubber surfacing, and concrete replacement, so we have no reason to push you toward the more expensive option if a simpler one will hold.
Coat It and Replace It aren't mutually exclusive. New concrete replacement slabs can be coated with ArmorCore™ after they cure — giving you a brand new slab with a finished, protected, lifetime-warranted surface. Many homeowners plan both from the start. Ask about it at your estimate.
Surface staining, wear and minor cracks usually point to a coating. Moderate wear or visible cracking on a solid outdoor slab points to resurfacing. Through-cracking, heaving, settlement and subbase failure point to replacement. The free assessment answers it for your slab specifically.
No. New concrete needs to cure to the right moisture content first, typically 28 days minimum. We build that into the schedule when a project combines replacement and a finish.
Yes, and it’s often the best approach. We coordinate the pour, the cure and the Armor Core System™ or rubber coatings finish as one project.
Yes. Removal, demolition and haul-off are included in every replacement.
Yes. Replacement adds demolition, subbase preparation, new material and finishing labor. It’s also the right answer when a coating won’t hold, and we’ll tell you which is which before any work begins.
Every ArmorCore™ floor carries a Lifetime Transferable Warranty, and Elite and Elite Hybrid add moisture-mitigation coverage. Rubber coating installations are backed by a strong warranty too. See Lifetime Warranty for details.
