Outdoor Work
Skilled Trade

Outback is looking for Rubaroc® rubber surfacing installers to join our crews in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. Rubaroc® is a poured-in-place rubber surfacing system applied to pool decks, patios, walkways, and outdoor living spaces. It's a specialized trade skill with strong demand and very few people who know how to do it right.

This is a hands-on outdoor role that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow a precise installation process. Experience with Rubaroc® or similar poured rubber surfacing systems is a plus — but we'll train the right candidate from the ground up.

What You'll Do

✓ Mix and apply Rubaroc® rubber surfacing material per manufacturer specifications
✓ Trowel and finish rubber surfaces to consistent depth, texture, and color
✓ Apply primer and topcoat sealers as required per project specifications
✓ Manage transitions, borders, and edges cleanly around pools, drains, steps, and obstacles
✓ Protect surrounding surfaces, landscaping, and pool equipment throughout installation
✓ Maintain clean, professional job sites and represent Outback in customers' homes and properties
✓ Travel between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis job sites as scheduling requires
What We're Looking For
✓ Experience with Rubaroc®, poured rubber surfacing, or similar coating/surfacing systems preferred — willing to train the right candidate
✓ Strong attention to detail — the finished surface is what the customer sees every day
✓ Physically capable of demanding outdoor work — kneeling, troweling, lifting material in heat and sun
✓ Professional appearance and demeanor — you'll be working in high-end residential properties
✓ Reliable — shows up on time, every job, every day
✓ Valid driver's license required — travel between markets is part of the role
✓ Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat around pools and water features

Outback is looking for a concrete coating applicator to join our installation crew. This role is responsible for applying Outback's ArmorCore™ polyurea coating systems on residential and commercial concrete surfaces — primarily garage floors, basements, and interior slabs.

This is a skilled trade position. The work is detail-oriented, process-driven, and directly tied to the finished product the customer sees. We have high standards. Every floor that goes out represents Outback — and we expect it to look and perform like it.

✓ Apply basecoat, broadcast decorative flake, and finish with polyaspartic topcoat
✓ Evaluate concrete condition and identify moisture, cracking, or prep issues before coating
✓ Mix, apply, and manage coatings and materials to manufacturer specifications

✓ Follow Outback's multi-step application process consistently on every job
✓ Interact professionally with homeowners and commercial customers on-site
What We're Looking For
✓ Experience in concrete coatings, epoxy, polyurea, or floor application preferred — willing to train the right candidate
