Unlike coatings that sit on top of the concrete, polished concrete is achieved by working the slab itself into the finished surface. We grind through a series of progressively finer diamond pads – each pass cutting deeper into the material and refining the surface – until the concrete reaches the sheen level you’ve selected. A chemical hardener is applied during the process to densify the slab, closing its pores and creating a surface that resists staining, abrasion, and moisture without a topical coating of any kind.
